Bulldog Haven Northwest is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and rehoming English, French & Olde English Bulldogs in need. The organization was founded by a group of volunteers with the mission to provide a safe haven for bulldogs who have been abandoned, abused, or surrendered by their owners. Over the years, Bulldog Haven Northwest has helped hundreds of bulldogs find new homes and families to love and care for them.
This organization is unique in that it not only rescues and rehomes bulldogs but also provides education and resources to current and potential bulldog owners. The organization believes that educating people on the needs and care of bulldogs is crucial in preventing neglect and abuse while ensuring that bulldogs are placed in homes where they will be well-cared for.
One of the key ways that Bulldog Haven Northwest provides education is through their foster program. All bulldogs that come into the organization are placed in foster homes where they receive love, care, and training. This not only helps the bulldogs transition into their new homes but also allows potential adopters to see the bulldogs in a home setting and get a better understanding of their needs and personalities.
Bulldog Haven Northwest takes their rescue and rehoming efforts very seriously and has a thorough adoption process in place to make sure that each bulldog is placed in the best possible home. This process includes an application, reference checks, a home visit, and a meet and greet with the bulldog and any other pets in the home. They also provide post-adoption support to ensure that the transition into their new home is successful for both the bulldog and the adopter.
Completely funded by donations from individuals and businesses, Bulldog Haven Northwest relies on the support of their community to continue their work. They are grateful for every donation, no matter how small. In addition to financial donations, they also accept in-kind donations such as food, bedding, toys, and other items that they can use to care for the bulldogs in their care.
